A Residential Treatment Program for drugs and alcohol, often referred to as inpatient rehabilitation, is a structured and intensive form of addiction treatment that involves individuals residing in a facility dedicated to recovery. These programs are designed to help people struggling with substance abuse or addiction by providing a supportive and supervised environment where they can focus on their recovery journey.
At Anabranch, We Believe Addiction is a Disease. We’re here to help.
Addiction can be treated, managed, and recovery is possible.
Addiction, also called substance use disorder (SUD), is often defined as a chronic, relapsing brain disease characterized by compulsive alcohol or drug seeking and use despite harmful consequences.
Wondering where to start? Consider Anabranch’s Residential Treatment for Addiction Recovery
Recovering from drug or alcohol addiction is no small task, especially if you’re trying to get sober while balancing work, family, and personal responsibilities. Entering the residential treatment program at Anabranch Recovery Center can provide a solid foundation for lasting sobriety.
Residential treatment typically lasts 30-90 days, depending on individual needs, and is followed by aftercare. Aftercare can take several forms, again depending on the individual: some people do well with weekly therapy appointments and a recovery support group in their local community. Others may benefit from intensive outpatient care, in which they visit the treatment center several times a week to continue with group therapy and relapse prevention training and practice.
Residential treatment in Indiana is ideal for treating addiction and shows the best outcomes in terms of lasting sobriety. Because residential treatment requires patients to live at the facility, it removes them from access to substances, thus eliminating the possibility of compromising treatment with further alcohol or drug use. In addition, residential treatment provides patients with the following:
We believe that all of our potential clients would benefit from residential treatment, but we also understand that not everyone can commit to an extended stay. That said, certain circumstances will lead us to highly recommend inpatient over outpatient treatment:
If you’re not sure what type of treatment would work best for yourself or a loved one, contact our admissions counselors. They will listen to your concerns and answer questions without putting any pressure on you. If you decide to take the next step, our medical team will provide a confidential assessment and recommend the treatment plan that best meets your individual needs.
Anabranch Recovery’s residential treatment program in Indiana offers a supportive and structured environment for individuals to break free from the cycle of alcohol addiction and work toward long-term sobriety. What do we treat? We treat addiction to any substance, but most commonly we see clients struggling with substance use disorders related to alcohol, heroin, fentanyl, cocaine, meth, prescription opioids and benzodiazepines, and marijuana. We also treat dual diagnosis clients: those with both substance use disorder and a mental health disorder.
Key features of the Indiana residential treatment program:
We offer the following as part of our treatment program.
Let’s take a closer look at what each of these elements involves:
Before a person with addiction has the capacity to engage in healing, they must rid their body of the addictive substance. This happens in a process called detoxification, or detox. We offer medically supervised and supported detox for all clients who are at risk of experiencing severe or life-threatening withdrawal symptoms. Our detox unit is a safe place where each person receives compassionate, individualized, 24/7 care as their body weans itself from drugs and/or alcohol.
Once detox is complete, the client enters the long-term healing program. Our program heavily relies on various types of therapy as the primary healing modality.
One of our primary goals is to help our patients understand how addiction works and how it has affected their lives. This knowledge helps motivate patients to guard against relapse after they return home. Our relapse prevention includes psychoeducation, in which clients learn about how addiction affects them personally as well as how any mental health disorders will complicate recovery. We also teach life skills, like practical ways to keep stress levels low and to manage stress in healthy ways. Clients learn how to communicate their needs and build trust in relationships that have been affected by addiction.
We want to ensure that clients have all the resources they need to continue strong in recovery when they return home. To that end, we might arrange for them to participate in intensive outpatient care or to find a therapist and recovery group in their home community. We also ask clients to download our free CaredFor app. This comprehensive digital platform is designed to enhance the recovery experience by providing access to resources, support, and community connections that are crucial for long-term sobriety.
At Anabranch, we are very proud of our robust alumni program. All of our former patients automatically become part of our alumni group, which gives them the ability to build a network of lasting friendships to make sure that support is always available. Alumni members enjoy free recreational opportunities to gather, have fun, and stay sober.
For our brothers and sisters who have served, Anabranch offers a dedicated program to meet their unique needs. Developed in collaboration with the national non-profit PsychArmor, a national nonprofit educational organization, Tactical Recovery offers all of the features of our traditional residential program with the added feature of a special support group for Veterans.
One of the great advantages of seeking care for a substance use disorder in a residential treatment facility like Anabranch is that the person who is struggling with drugs or alcohol is given the opportunity to step away from the day-to-day pressures and habits that may be fueling their addiction.
